My name is Shagufta Yousaf and I will be the Lead Pediatrician for your child.
I completed my Pediatric Residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan/Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University from 2003- 2006. Since then, I have worked as a Pediatrician in various healthcare settings in Kentucky, Illinois, Texas, and Oklahoma.
I finished my medical school at Fatimah Jinnah University, Lahore Pakistan in 1998. I was awarded Gold Medals for securing highest scores in Physiology in my class of 94′ and for securing highest scores overall in that class. Right after Medical School, I worked as a Pediatrician in Pakistan for few years.
I had the privilege of home-schooling my children for about 3 years as well.I have worked Part-Time/Locum /Volunteer Pediatrician at various points during my career.
My passion is to provide Pediatric Services to all children, irrespective of race,color, gender,country of origin or religion. In 2017-2018, I had the privilege to volunteer my services as Volunteer Pediatrician for Syrian Refugee children, living in Jordan, with a non-religious, non-political, and not-for -profit organization called Atlantic Humanitarian Relief. I was humbled to receive an Award for Outstanding Contributions during my November 2017 Mission Trip with the Organization. I also served as an Associate Medical Director of ICNA Relief Shifa Free Clinic, Oklahoma City where we provide Free Medical services to uninsured and low income patients .
Periodically, I arrange CPR/BLS classes for the community/Health Care Professionals as I am an American Heart Association CPR/Basic Life Support Instructor.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, watch my son’s soccer games, and volunteer at the Shifa Free Clinic,Oklahoma City.
I live in Edmond, Oklahoma with my husband who is a Neonatologist and our 2 boys .
